St. St. Constantine and Helena Weather at the resort

St. Constantine & Helena resort is one of the oldest sea resorts on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria. It is located at about 8 km north from the sea capital Varna, on the area of a magnificent green park. The sea breeze perfectly combines with the fragrance of oak, beech and pine trees and small, sheltered sandy beaches with lots of rocky coves and inlets to while away a few leisurely moments.

The resort also is famous with its multiple mineral water springs and the first-class SPA centers, restaurants, cafes and attraction facilities there. Sports facilities are also offered in the resort, such as tennis courts, bowling, billiard, cycling. St. Constantine is the perfect place to have a pleasant and calm holiday and at the same time to take care of your health and good shape.

This is the oldest Bulgarian seaside resort (1908), established around the monastery carrying the same name. The resort is famous for its unique combination of clear air, abundant vegetation and fabulous sea water. Numerous first-rate hotels are available, providing various healing and recreational procedures. The area has many springs with healing properties, hot mineral water pools, balneotherapeutic facilities, etc. The combination of a maritime climate and hot mineral water allows for a really pleasant and wellremembered holiday.

A far smaller coastal resort than its northern neighbours, Sveti Sveti Konstantin and Elena appeals to families in search of easily accessible facilities. The seafront has short beaches and rocky coves backed by a woodland. This gives the resort a tranquil atmosphere. Several of the health complexes along the seafront have hot mineral baths and saunas, and offer therapeutic massages.

In the heart of the resort is the tiny Monastery of SS Konstantin and Elena. It was founded in the 17-th century but was destroyed during the Russo-Turkish War of 1828–9. Two brothers from Veliko Tûrnovo rebuilt the monastery and, after the Liberation of 1878, it became a fashionable spot for weekend breaks. From 1946 its popularity led to the location being developed as Bulgaria’s first beach resort.
